AN INTRODUCTION

Miss Saigon the musical was staged in Singapore's Kallang Theatre in the year 2001 (if I remember correctly). I remember vividly the inspiring and heart-warming music that was beautifully orchestrated. I also remenber being captured by the lavish make-up and costumes, as well as the cheoreography. I was awed by some of the dancers with their gyrating hips and complicated footwork. These factors, coupled by the fact that I had good seats made the experience a very memorable one. In this blog, I will attempt to analyse 3 numbers from this musical. I hope that through this process. I will be able to learn something new, both about music and about myself, and perhaps relive the magical momments I had when I was among the audience of Miss Saigon.
